Jack London State Historic Park

2400 London Ranch Road, Glen Ellen, CA

Designated as a National Historic Landmark in 1963, the Jack London State Historic Park offers a museum about the renowned American author of “The Call of the Wild,” as well 29 miles of hiking trails across 1,400 acres. Historical buildings from London’s time are also located on the grounds, from the ruins of a 19th century winery to the cottage London would write in years ago. London created the lake in this park, and families can follow along with free docent-led tours of London’s gravesite and the ruins of Wolf House.

London’s Cottage was restored in 2006 and showcases Jack and his wife’s lifestyle in a number of rooms. Tours are available from noon to 4 p.m.
