A good place to spend some time while you’re waiting for the Serengeti Express Railway train to depart the Nairobi station is Jambo Junction, a zoo-like attraction with glassed-in enclosures in a building where you can see the park’s youngest animal inhabitants, including baby lemurs, aardvarks and armadillos. Kids press their noses to the windows to see the baby animals hopping about. And young flamingoes are housed in an open-air section where even little kids just a few-feet tall can peer over the fence for up-close views at the bright pink birds. It’s rarely crowded in here, so you can spend as much time as you like hogging the window views.
