Military history buffs (and anyone who’s into spies and espionage) will enjoy a tour of the KGB “museum” (really more of a personal collection) where you’ll see uniforms, weapons, and surveillance items, and learn about Soviet history. The eccentric owner of the museum has a lot of personality, and will give you a one-of-a-kind tour that’s quirky, passionate, and entertaining. At times his English can be difficult to understand, and he has some unique stories to tell, so be prepared to be patient. It’s better for older children; families with infants/strollers may not be granted admission. Ultimately, it can be a bit of a strange experience, which visitors tend to either love or hate, so go in with an open mind.
