Attraction

Lake Crescent

Highway 101, Olympic National Park, WA 98363, WA

Thirty minutes west of Port Angeles, Lake Crescent is a spectacular place to swim, paddle a boat and fish. With camping and lodging here, it makes a great basecamp for the park. The 624-foot deep lake is famous for its clear, turquoise waters, and though chilly for swimming, it never stops kids during summer months. Seasonal boat, canoe and kayak rentals are available at Fairholm General Store, the Log Cabin Resort or the Lake Crescent Lodge, even if you’re not a guest. Nearby is kid-friendly hiking, including Marymere Falls, Moments in Time trail, and the Spruce Railroad trail (also great for bikes).
