Housed in a historic home built in 1911, the Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA) is tiny, but has more than 3,200 works encompassing 300 years of American and European art. Teens with a passion for art will enjoy the curated collection of artwork. Families with younger kids may want to visit on Sundays between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. every third Sunday of the month (September through June) and every Sunday in July and August to take part in Family ArtMaking Workshops. Held on the lawn, the workshops allow parents and children to enjoy the ocean view while working together on an art project.

Admission
Admission is $7 for adults, $6 for students, and children 12 and under are free. Admission is free on Thursdays between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and all day on Fridays.

Hours
Open Thursdays 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
