Attraction

Louisiana State Museum Baton Rouge

660 N 4th St, Baton Rouge, LA

Filled with informative and interactive exhibits and displays, the Capitol Park Museum showcases Louisiana’s history in two permanent exhibits: “Grounds for Greatness: Louisiana and the Nation” and “Experiencing Louisiana: Discovering the Soul of America.” Check out a 48-foot shrimp trawler, listen to the music made by many Louisiana natives, read how Louisiana’s distinctive culinary heritage evolved, and, of course, pretend to throw beads from a Mardi Gras float. There is so much to see, read and experience so plan to spend at least two to three hours here.
