Mammoth Cave National Park — Frozen Niagara Tour

1 Mammoth Cave Parkway, Mammoth Cave National Park, KY

A walk through the Frozen Niagara section of the caves at Mammoth Cave National Park is certainly one for the books. This tour spends approximately 35 to 40 minutes in the cave, is about an hour and 15 minutes in total, and is good for all ages.

During the tour (as well as on the 4.5-mile bus ride to the entrance of the cave), families will learn that Mammoth Cave National Park was named the country’s 26th national park in 1941, there are eight caves between Bowling Green and the park, and that the Frozen Niagara section of the caves is primarily limestone.

Note: Mammoth Cave National Park is just under 41 miles and a 40-minute drive from Bowling Green.

Admission is free to the park, but the Frozen Niagara tour is $13 for adults and $8 for children.
