Surely a small marble carving souvenir will make it home in your suitcase and no matter where you bought it in Vietnam, it came from one of the five Marble Mountains. The area is filled with beautiful religious carvings, primarily of Buddha, but numerous gardens, sculptures and worship areas make this a delightful place to explore for a few hours. For your older children, rappelling down the mountains is an option.
