Along the California coastline, a number of marine mammal centers exist to help rescue and rehabilitate sea lions and seals that are found on the coast. The Sausalito location is the largest of the center and is open to the public daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Except Thanksgiving and Christmas.) Admission is free and guests who visit receive an educational tour through exhibits, and have a chance to visit the animal patients. Docent-Led Tours are available for a small fee and take place throughout the day.
