This Victorian mansion is where celebrated author Mark Twain, whose real name was Samuel Clemens, called home from 1874 until 1891, and one of Twain’s favorite properties. Guests may tour the home, including its library, dining room, conservatory, nursery and master bedroom, with self-guided or guided tours available. The museum offers special exhibits throughout the year, and a café is located on the premises for snacks and drinks, as well as light lunches. The home is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
