Family Activities:

Market Square

Attraction

If you can time it correctly, then make sure to visit the St. George’s Market on Saturday morning. There is no better concentration of the islands’ food, produce, people, community and culture. Here, there is everything from street vendors with a coconut ready to hack for drinking to spice packages of the islands delicacies, to food, clothing, natural products and more.

Don’t forget to tour the small, yet intimate fish market. The fish is still flipping when it arrives at times, and you can watch locals and visitors alike order up the freshest catch of the day, filleted, and ready for the grill.

The market is not large and although it is spread out amongst various streets and a few buildings, a tour through the best Saturday has to offer can be easily accomplished in two hours.
