Everyone who visits this museum adjacent to the Federal Reserve Bank is allowed to take home a bag of money. The only problem — the money is already shredded, chopped, sliced and diced to the quality of kitty litter. But it’s still fun to watch as workers sort and count millions of dollars right before your eyes. Kids get to lift a gold brick, have their pictures made on a $100,000 bill and examine counterfeit $20 bills. For older kids interested in economics, the exhibits on how the Federal Reserve Bank operates in the United States, economic theory, inflation and the Gross Domestic Product might prove interesting.
