Mount Pelee is best viewed from a boat, where you can take in the vastness of the active volcano. It seemingly reaches to the sky, sometimes disappearing into the clouds. You can hike to the top, which overlooks the village of St. Pierre. It’s a relatively easy excursion, though we don’t recommend it for families with young children.
