It’s all uphill at this state park in Vermont — but the views are worth it. You can take the 30-minute hike (one way) with older kids, but we suggest you drive the paved trail with young children. Enjoy the views — which include Lake Champlain and farm land — with a picnic lunch. Picnic tables and Adirondack chairs are available, as are restrooms. Free parking at the summit and bottom of the mountain is also available.
