The government seat from the 1500’s to 1900’s has many stories to tell in its former castle walls. Throughout its history, kings, dukes and royalty from the Renaissance to modern day diplomats have lived and worked in this building, which is one of Bavaria’s largest museums. The museum is divided into the Treasury, the Cuvillies-Theater and the Munich Court Garden, with the garden available to visit for free.
