National Museum of American Jewish History

101 South Independence Mall East, Philadelphia, 19106, PA

The National Museum of American Jewish History is located right in Philadelphia’s Center City section. A Smithsonian-affiliated museum, the National Museum of American Jewish History has over 20,000 pieces on display in its 100,000-square-foot building.

Spanning five floors of history and culture, visitors are introduced to the rags-to-riches success stories of extraordinary Jewish Americans, the stories of Jewish life during and after World War II, the migration of Jews to America in the 19th and 20th centuries, and the creation of the State of Israel and what it meant to American Jews. The fifth floor is reserved for special exhibitions, which periodically change in theme and content.
