This office includes a small exhibit on the ecosystem of the barrier islands. But most importantly, the staff coordinates activities and events for those living or visiting the area who want to get involved in clean-up and restoration. Maybe all you do is pick up oyster shells that will later be used to rebuild reefs, or maybe you can help plant sea grass on the dunes.
