The record-breaking swing ride, New England SkyScreamer, presides over this section, reaching heights of 400-plus feet. From the top, you’ll see the Connecticut River and the city of Springfield. The Wicked Cyclone, introduced in 2015, is a hybrid wood and steel coaster. There are also some classics, like the Scrambler, Balloon Race, and several midway-style games of chance.

A family favorite is the Blizzard River raft ride, a white-water rafting simulation. You will get wet, but not drenched. It’s refreshing on a warm day, although you may want to save this ride for the end of the day if you don’t like walking around in damp clothes.
