Omaha Children’s Museum

500 S. 20th St., Omaha, 68102, NE

This is Omaha’s most-visited museum and with good reason! There is a seemingly endless supply of things to learn, explore, and do here. Kids of all ages will especially love the museum’s signature Super Gravitron (a huge ball machine) and watching a tornado develop right before their very eyes. There are wonderful hands-on and interactive exhibits for even the littlest artists and scientists. In addition to the permanent exhibits, you’ll often find world-class traveling exhibitions and special family-friendly events. The museum is closed on most Mondays and major holidays throughout the year. Children under 2 are free.

New for summer 2016: opening on May 28 is an interactive “Pirates and Mermaids: Voyage to Creature Cove” exhibit. Kids can walk the plank, climb nets, fire cannons, search for treasure, and navigate the high seas while learning about giant ocean creatures.
