Oregon Cabaret Theater

241 Hargadine St., Ashland, OR

Shakespeare isn’t the only show in town. In between the plays of the Bard, you can take in something more contemporary at the Oregon Cabaret Theatre. Better yet, it’s a dinner theatre as well, where you can enjoy a gourmet meal before the show begins. It’s a small venue, in a beautiful old converted church just a block away from the larger Shakespeare Festival complex.

The professional troupe has performed such musicals as “Chicago” and “Cabaret,” as well as fun plays like “The 39 Steps” and “The Mystery of Irma Vep.”

Most of the shows are suitable for the entire family, but think twice about bringing toddlers and babies who may not be able to sit still through three hours of dinner and a movie. Tickets will cost you between $30 and $40 per person.
