Guided tours are available of the Centre Block, which is home to the Senate, House of Commons and Library of Parliament, as well as East Block, which was home to Canada’s government during its inaugural years. Live entertainment is featured here every July 1, Canada Day, celebrating the country’s birthday. All visits are free, but tour tickets are only available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are available at 90 Wellington in the summer, and at the Peace Tower visitor entrance September through May.
