Bikers looking for easy, scenic stretches can roll between the area’s small towns along the Paul Bunyan State Trail. It’s seven miles from Nisswa to Pequot Lakes or 16 miles from Nisswa to Pine River. Bikes and trailers for toddlers can be rented in either Brainerd or Nisswa.
The full trail stretches almost 100 miles from Brainerd all the way to Bemidji. In winter, it’s a snowmobiler’s equivalent of an Interstate. It’s paved. It’s fast. It’s easy.
