It’s true — no trip to Nova Scotia is complete without a visit to Peggy’s Point Lighthouse. Located about an hour’s drive outside of Halifax, the lighthouse offers amazing photo ops, as does the village that surrounds it. The old fishing village of Peggy’s Point offers a handful of eateries (you won’t be able to resist the smell coming from Dee Dee’s ice cream), plus a few souvenir shops. There’s also a visitor center with restrooms.
