Originally created as a breath mint more than 80 years ago in Vienna, Pez candy has transformed into a popular candy that almost everyone knows. The unmistakeable dispenser now comes in all shapes and sizes, with 14 different flavors of the small candy. Visit the factory for a self-guided tour, complete with views into the production rooms and credit for the gift shop. The Pez Candy Factory and and Visitor Center is open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., except on Sundays when it opens at noon. Admission is $5 per adult, $4 for children age 3 to 12 and kids under 3 are free. The factory and visitor center is located a little more than an hour’s drive from New York City and Mystic Connecticut.
