Family Activities:

Port Aransas Beach

Attraction

The wide shores of Port Aransas Beach stretche 18 miles along the Gulf of Mexico, and nearly everything is permitted on these beaches. Fishing and camping are allowed with a permit, and bonfires are permitted as well. Driving (cars and golf carts) is also allowed on the beach in the designated area behind the pylons, so it’s not dangerous for children and makes it so much easier to cart all the stuff to the beach.

Port A Beach will be the highlight of your family’s vacation here. The waters are calm and warm and the sand is soft and perfect for building sandcastles.

Things to Know/Bring

Lifeguards are posted in season. Restrooms can be found along the beach, along with rinse showers and changing areas.

Parking

Parking permits are required to park on the beach. They can be purchased for a minimal fee at any convenience store and are good for the entire year.
