Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm

1000 Turkey Hill Road, Stroudsburg, 18360, PA

Northeast Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains are absolutely gorgeous in the summer months, and the Quiet Valley Living Historical Farm takes full advantage of it.

Open to the public from the third Saturday in June through Labor Day (with the exception of a few other special events and days in the spring and fall), this rural wonderland is modeled after a 19th century Pennsylvania German farm, and is dedicated solely to educating the public and preserving the culture of rural farm life from an era gone by.

Tours of the farm and farmhouse are given throughout the summer months by friendly and knowledgable guides, who don period-correct garb. Tour guests find and interact with rabbits, horses, chickens, sheep, pigs, turkeys, cows and more animals commonly found on 19th-century farms.

The farm also offers families special educational programs, work shops and special events, each geared toward nature exploration, farming methods, and traditional trades and skills.

The farm also offers summer day camp programs for children kindergarten-aged and above. Available in July and August, children learn about nature, insects, trees, animals and flowers found on the farm, and are allowed to explore the whole property, including the pond and surrounding woods. They also participate in crafts, games, stories and more.

Other programs for older kids include Summer Farm Camp and the One-Week Apprentice Program.
