Considered by many to be the gateway to Fire Island, this fabulous park is home to 5 miles of pristine Atlantic shore accessed by four distinct parking “fields,” each with its own unique vibe. A couple are radio-free zones and all offer different services and amenities including a pitch and putt golf course, bike rentals, playground, and concession stands.

Each field has a bathhouse with restrooms and cold showers. Field 5 is the furthest to the east and is a good spot if you’d like to visit the historic Fire Island Lighthouse, a short walk down the boardwalk nature trail. Tours are offered daily until one hour before closing time.
