Outdoorsy families can explore this 487-acre preserve with a gentle estuary for kayaking, bird watching along salt marshes and mangrove estuaries, biking the 2.5 miles of paved trails, and walking 5miles of shell and coastal trails. Climb the 40-foot observation tower to enjoy a view of the waterways and Tampa Bay with Sunshine Skyway Bridge on the horizon, then follow winding boardwalks across the estuary and enjoy the views from the coastline. This is a free attraction.
