Part of the National Park Service, the Roger Williams National Memorial pays homage to Roger Williams, the founder of Rhode Island. The park has a series of walkways lined with benches and artwork, as well as a visitors’ center that offers exhibits and displays for more information. Inside the visitors’ center, families can also watch a short film for more information. There are also restrooms and souvenirs for sale.
The park is open to the public daily. The visitors’ center is open 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily, from Columbus Day to Memorial Day, and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.
