The second oldest amusement park in North America, Cedar Point welcomed its first roller coaster in 1892. The Switchback Railway would be the first of many more roller coasters, thus earning Cedar Point the nickname “The Roller Coaster Capital of the World.” Today, there are 17 coasters ranging in thrills from the mild Wilderness Run, a starter coaster for children, to the aggressive Top Thrill Dragster, which races from zero to 120 mph in less than 4 seconds. On the new Valravn coaster, you’ll ascend 223 feet in the air and reach 75 mph as you drop. The roller coasters are spread throughout the park, creating an unusual, yet intriguing skyline for Cedar Point.
The roller coasters are: Blue Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Corkscrew, Gatekeeper, Gemini, Iron Dragon, Magnum XL-200, Maverick, Mean Streak, Millennium Force, Pipe Scream, Raptor, Rougarou, Top Thrill Dragster, Wicked Twister, Wilderness Run and Woodstock Express.
