Rose Bowl Stadium

Linda Vista Ave., Pasadena, 91103, CA

If you’re in Pasadena with the family, stop off at the city’s crowning jewel — Rose Bowl Stadium. This National Historic Landmark, built in 1922, is home to the famous Rose Bowl football game, which takes place on Jan. 1 every year (since 1890).

The game follows the world-famous Tournament of Roses Parade, which is witnessed live by hundreds of thousands of people annually, and the game itself is viewed by millions of people all over the world and in person by almost 93,000 spectators.

While the best time to visit the bowl is obviously on game day, tours are offered year-round for students, groups and families. The tours are truly educational and include a physical tour of the stadium and its facilities, along with a fascinating look into the bowl, the stadium, the parade and the history behind it all.

Tours are available Thursday through Sunday at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
