Saguaro National Park

3693 South Old Spanish Trail, Tucson, AZ

Saguaro National Park actually surrounds Tucson to the west and the east. Thus, the park is divided into two distinct sections. As its name suggests, this is a spectacular place to see saguaro in their native environment. Both parks feature a visitor center, guided programs, many hiking trails, driving loops, and unique landscape views. Families with kids might enjoy taking part in the Junior Ranger Program!

Due to desert temperatures, the park is most popular from November to March. But the driving loops make this an activity you can do year-round. The Saguaro National Park Visitor Center is open daily Monday to Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (closed Christmas day). It’s open to hikers and walkers 24 hours a day and vehicle times vary throughout the year.
