This 200,000-square-foot sporting goods store offers visitors so much more than items to purchase. Several bronze statues can be found outside the entrance and a 16,000-gallon saltwater aquarium greets guests inside. A 65-foot, operating Ferris wheel sits in the center of the store, begging visitors to take a spin. A shooting gallery, two-lane bowling alley and a golf, baseball and hockey simulator are also featured at Scheels. But for those seeking more speed, a NASCAR simulator is available, too.
In case you were craving some history while shopping for fishing or hunting gear, a talking statue of Abraham Lincoln is among just some of the presidents that can be discovered throughout the store.
If you are in the market for athletic gear, fishing or hunting equipment, home décor, women’s shoes and athletic shoes, outdoor games, pool or camping equipment or nearly anything that has to do with the outdoors or recreation, Scheels likely has it. Families could easily spend about two hours-plus at Scheels.
9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday
