Seattle Public Library

1000 Fourth Avenue, Seattle, 98104, WA

The Seattle Public Library is a great place for families to visit. The unique architecture of the building will amaze both kids and parents, with its 11 stories of glass and steel. The 10th floor is home to the 12,000-square-foot reading room, which also has 40-foot ceilings and magnificent views of Elliott Bay. The Faye G. Allen Children’s Center occupies the first level, and little ones will love the daily story times. The Children’s Center alone has more than 80,000 books, DVDs, CDs, and other educational materials.

The Seattle Public Library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. Admission is always free.
