Taller than Old Faithful, the Selfoss geyser shoots off every 4 to 8 minutes. Visible from the road, the geyser is along the popular Golden Circle route, with ample parking opposite a walking trail that takes visitors past smaller bubbling geysers and thermal springs. A café, restaurant, hotel and souvenir shop are also located here, and the area becomes very crowded with tourists during the day, any time of year.
