The very first ride at Silverwood, this vintage 1915 steam locomotive, known as Old No. 7, runs along a 3-mile track around the park and through the nearby woods, where dastardly train robbers have been known to lurk. Some have described it as the slowest roller coaster in the park, but it certainly is a thrill to experience the only working steam train in Idaho. At the midway point of the journey, the train is stopped by bumbling thieves who are good for a few laughs. They’ll try to take your money, but it’s all for charity. No matter your age, the Silverwood train is a fun and memorable attraction for all.
