Six Flags Great Adventure features Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom, the tallest drop tower in the world! Other thrill rides include Kingda Ka, where riders accelerate from 0 to 128 mph in 3.5 seconds, El Diablo, a roller coaster inspired by the Jersey Devil, and The Joker, a new 4D free-fly coaster where riders soar and flip in winged cars. The largest theme park in New Jersey, Six Flags Great Adventure also offers family-specific rides, such as Big Wheel and Enchanted Teacups, and rides just for little ones, such as the Bugs Bunny Carousel.
Enjoy meet-and-greets with characters and special shows throughout the park. Kids can meet their Looney Tunes friends and will also love getting up close and personal with animals in the PAW & disORDER Animals on Patrol show.
Six Flags Great Adventure is open seasonally, with special events on weekends around Halloween and Christmas. Also open seasonally is the park’s water park, Hurricane Harbor, which features waterslides, lazy rivers, wave pools and more. Discovery Bay is the splash playground that is perfect for little ones, while King Cobra is the snake-inspired waterslide that teens will surely love. Entry to Hurricane Harbor is not included in admission to Six Flags Great Adventure.
If planning an overnight trip to the theme and water parks, consider staying at the Radisson Hotel Freehold.
