Six Flags Magic Mountain, located in the Los Angeles area, is the perfect place for families to get away for a day and let their fun flags fly. Thrilling rides for teens (and parents!) include BATMAN: The Ride, complete with twists, loops and turns; GREEN LANTERN: First Flight, which has an all-vertical track that zig zags at 35 mph; and LEX LUTHER: Drop of Doom, which drops riders from 415 feet in the air at 85 mph.
When it’s time for the tots to ride, head to Bugs Bunny World for Pepe Le Pew’s Tea Party and Daffy’s Adventure Tours, among other rides just their size. The Magic Flyer is another great ride for kids with its small hills and drops in the train village area of Whistlestop Park.
The whole family can enjoy thrills together on the Buccaneer pirate ship ride; the Jet Stream log flume ride; and the Road Runner Express family-friendly coaster. Families can also enjoy shows and special meet-and-greet experiences together. Kids will love meeting their heroes at the JUSTICE LEAGUE Meet and Greet in front of DC UNIVERSE, as well as at the Looney Tunes Kids Club Show, where they can participate in the show.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is home to Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles, a water park that is perfect for hot days. Families will enjoy splashing in the lazy rivers, wave pools and on the various waterslides of all sizes. Entry to Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles is not included in admission to Six Flags Magic Mountain.
To celebrate its 45th anniversary in 2016, the park is revamping their “Revolution” roller coaster, adding virtual-reality technology to create “The New Revolution.” As the coaster zooms down the track, riders become co-pilots of fighter jets and battle to save the planet from invading aliens.
If planning to stay in the area for a night or two, consider booking a room at the Hilton Garden Inn Valencia Six Flags.
