Six Flags Over Texas

2201 Road to Six Flags, Arlington, 76011, TX

Located just 15 minutes from Dallas in Arlington, Texas, Six Flags Over Texas has towering roller coasters that can be seen on the horizon for miles, and thrill seekers will surely get giddy. The park’s 212 acres feature both bold and brazen roller coasters, as well as tamer family-friendly rides and attractions. Six Flags Over Texas is home to Titan, one of the world’s tallest coasters with a 255-foot drop, as well as the new JUSTICE LEAGUE: Battle for Metropolis 4D interactive ride that opened in 2015. Families will spin around in cars aiming to take down the villains with their own lasers. Another (brand-new) interactive ride is Shock Wave, which incorporates virtual-reality elements to transform riders into fighter jet pilots battling an alien invasion.

For little ones, Bugs Bunny Boomtown has 10 new rides that opened in 2015 just for the youngsters in your group. Tykes will enjoy the Looney Tunes Adventure Camp interactive play area, as well as rides like Bugs Bunny Cloud Bouncer and Marvin the Martian Space Rockets.

Take a break from the adrenaline pumping rides and enjoy a show or a special meet-and-greet experience at the theme park. Miss Ruby’s Wild West Cabaret is a classic for families.

Cool off with a visit to the theme park’s water park Hurricane Harbor, which features waterslides for all ages, a splash playground for little ones and lagoon pools for parents to lounge in or around. Admission for Hurricane Harbor is not included with admission to Six Flags Over Texas.

If you’re planning to stay in town for a night or two, consider a stay at the Holiday Inn Arlington NE.
