Solstice Canyon

Attraction

Solstice Canyon

Santa Monica Mountains, Malibu, CA

A trail that leads to the only year-round waterfall in the Santa Monica mountains, Solstice Canyon has hikes that range from easy to rigorous — though even the most reluctant hikers will be easily distracted by the amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. History buffs will appreciate the Keller House, an abandoned stone cottage dating back to 1865, as well as the ruins of the Robert’s Ranch House not far from the waterfall. Parents will appreciate the parking lot drinking fountain and the bathroom a short distance down the trail.

The full trail is 6 miles, but shorter hikes are marked.

Parking

Parking is free and open from 8 a.m. to sunset, but fills up quickly on weekends.
