Located in the former Atlantic Coastline Railroad depot, the Southwest Florida Museum of History is dedicated to “the collection, preservation, and interpretation of history and traditions, with particular emphasis on Fort Myers and Southwest Florida.” The museum features an authentic cracker house, exhibits on the first settlers, the history of the fort, and more. Closed on Sundays and Mondays, it is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Admission, less than $10, includes an audio tour.
