Enjoy family-friendly shopping and dining at St. Armands Circle in Sarasota. The area dates back to the late 1800’s, when Charles St. Armand purchased the property and opened a marketplace. In 1917, John Ringling of the Ringling Brothers Circus purchased it and turned it into a circular shopping area with stores and restaurants. The area is located on St. Armand’s Key, which is only accessible by bridge now, allowing the area to be a quiet and relaxing place for families. Today, St. Armands Circle is home to more than 130 shops and stores, and multiple casual and fine dining options. Ice cream and other dessert cafes are available, including Ben and Jerry’s.
