TD Garden

100 Legends Way, Boston, 02114, MA

First things first. The Garden, originally the Boston Garden, is the home of the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins. Its name was shortened to just the Garden by the locals. Unfortunately, the original building was decaying and had obstructed view seating (some directly behind pillars), so the city constructed a new stadium across the street, which they named the Fleet Center, as it was owned by Fleet Bank. Even before the city tore down the old Garden, people began calling the Fleet Center the “New Garden.” It got confusing. Luckily, when TD Bank had the chance, they returned Garden to the name. So, today, it’s still “the Garden,” but it’s a new-and-improved garden with all seats providing great views. Families visiting during the day, when games are in session, can look into stadium tours, which provides behind-the-scene looks at the Garden and the history of the Bruins and Celtics.
