Learn all there is to know about Telluride at Telluride Historical Museum. Permanent exhibits include the Nuchu/Ute Native Peoples, From Mining Camp to Community, and Health and Hardships. The latest exhibit to join the lineup at the museum is an interactive one in which families can learn about the technology and logistics behind hard rock mining in the San Juans.
General admission is $5, admission is $3 for students ages 6 to 17, $3 for seniors ages 65 and older, and free for members of the museum and children ages 5 and under. Locals receive free admission, as well.
Open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday until 7 p.m., and Sunday 1 to 5 p.m. in the summer; and Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and until 7 p.m. on Thursdays in the winter.
