This private tour will take tourists from Bangkok to Kanchanaburi, which is about 80 miles. Along the way, there will be the opportunity to see beautiful Thai countryside with rice paddies, sugar cane fields and rural villages. The destination is the famous Death Railway bridge; built in 1943, it connected Thailand to Burma and supported the Japanese occupation in Burma during the second world war. Today the bridge is a memorial of the prisoners of war and construction workers who died.

There will also be the chance to visit the Allied War Grave cemetery and to see the JEATH War Museum, which contains correspondence and art works done by prisoners of war. After this, everyone on the tour will get to ride in a long-tailed speedboat along the River Kwai and there will be enough time to go on a short journey on a local train before going back to Bangkok.
