Experienced surfers flock to the southwest tip of the Bukit Peninsula in South Bali and the incredible offshore reef break at Uluwatu. The waves crumbles atop coral reef with a near-perfect form when the conditions are right, and this is hardly a spot to learn. But you can have a lot of fun watching the surfers from on high at a collection of outdoor warungs (snack shops) built into the cliffs and selling things like banana pancakes and milkshakes. Walk all the way down the steps to the water, too, to see the cool entrance through a cavern that leads to the open ocean.
