The train buffs in the family will appreciate this ride into yesteryear. You will learn the importance of the handsome, circa-1927 depot in the development of Venice, including the transport of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, which wintered in Venice.
On depot grounds, you will find a statue of famed circus animal grainer Gunther Gebel-Williams, a red caboose, picnic grounds, and access to the paved Legacy Trail. Guided and self-touring of the depot and caboose are options.
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday November to April; 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday year-round.
Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.
