Village of Lindos

Attraction

This small ancient village is so picturesque that your Instagram followers will be drooling. Lindos is both touristy and off the beaten path, as it sits about an hour’s drive (or local bus ride) from the old city of Rhodes.

The first thing you’ll notice is the stone acropolis dominating the landscape of Lindos and just beneath it, a smattering of postcard-perfect whitewashed buildings. Up there are 4th century gates, other ruins and fresco paintings from the 14th and 15th centuries, respectively.

A visit to Lindos in Rhodes means walking, window shopping, tasting the local cuisine and soaking up island life as it has been enjoyed by Greeks and lucky visitors for centuries.
