Vulcan Park and Museum

1701 Valley View Dr, Birmingham, AL

Vulcan Park and Museum is home to Vulcan, the largest cast iron statue in the world. Vulcan is perched atop a viewing tower, and while you can’t see the statue unless you’re on the ground, you can ride an elevator (or take the stairs) to the top of the tower for beautiful views of Birmingham. It’s especially pretty at sunset.

Onsite, you’ll also find a museum, tables and chairs for picnics, and hiking trails.

Admission
Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $4 for kids 5 to 12 and free for children age 4 and under. Evening admission (after 6 p.m.) is discounted.

Hours
The observation tower is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily; the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
