Take a day trip to New York State Park’s largest Thousand Islands camping complex, complete with a nature center, hiking and cross-country skiing trails, a full-service marina, a nine-hole golf course, a recreation barn and a river beach offering opportunities for swimming and sunbathing.

Minna Anthony Common Nature Center offers family programming year-round, including kids’ fishing classes, guided snowshoe hikes, sunset kayak tours and guided outings on Eel Bay aboard a 36’ Voyageur canoe. Bike and kayak rentals are available nearby at Boomerang Bike & Kayak Rental. A few miles down the road, there’s another location at the dock Thousand Island Park, a Victorian summer cottage community that’s worthy of a detour.
